And so it begins. Chinese New Year is today, and it brings with it the greatest character on the 12 animal zodiac. That’s right, friends, today begins the year of the RABBIT! Supposedly, humans born in the year of the rabbit are introverted and withdrawn. They would rather work behind-the-scenes instead of being the center of attention. Rabbits do enjoy friends, but they would rather be a member of the group than the leader.
Now, I just don’t get that. Is that supposed to be a rabbit? ‘Cause that’s nothing like me. That actually sounds like my mommy (she was born in the year of the horse). But, then again, I was born in the year of the monkey (ewww….). But, “rabbits” are also calm; they don’t exhibit aggressive behavior; they pay close attention to the situations developing around them. Ok, well, that does sound like me.
I’m hoping mommy does something special to celebrate the year of the rabbit. I would love some oats. I rarely get those. Extra playtime maybe. That would be great.
So, what are you going to do to celebrate this momentous year?
You have a year named after you! Lucky you!
